Mataram (Suara NTB)- UPTD Environmental Laboratory Center (Labling) of the NTB Environment and Forestry Service received national recognition from the National Accreditation Committee (KAN).This coincides with the issuance of the KAN accreditation certificate with the LP-1649-IDN registered which is valid from May 25, 2022 to May 24, 2027.Head of the Environment and Forestry Service (LHK) of the Province of NTB Julmansyah MAP said, Labling NTB was accredited according to the ISO 17025:2017 standard to coincide with the commemoration of World Environment Day."This is a gift for NTB because this accreditation shows a commitment to always provide the best quality, competence, and results that can be justified technically and legally," said Julmansyah, Friday, June 17, 2022.Labling NTB was previously part of the Environment and Research Agency of the Province of NTB in accordance with Regional Regulation Number 8 of 2008. However, in line with the enactment of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 23 of 2014 concerning Regional Government, through the Governor of West Nusa Tenggara Province Regulation Number 53 of 2016, the Environmental Laboratory Center was established which is one of the UPT at the Department of Environment and Forestry of the Province of NTB.He said that from 2019 Labling NTB has been able to get the Excellent Laboratory category in national and international proficiency tests in 2019 to 2021. Furthermore, the ability to apply Certified Reference Materials as quality assurance of international standards, the ability to apply digital systems to service systems, and the addition of instruments test according to the needs of environmental parameters.This progress is in line with the contribution of PAD generated every year.In 2019, for example, Labling NTB received a total PAD of Rp.63,982,500, in 2020 of Rp.338,781,500 and in 2021 it is Rp.448,695500.Julmansyah said, this laboratory is ready to serve business actors and related parties for testing matrix samples of river water, clean water, waste water, sea water, ambient air, air emissions which include parameters Metal, Total Phosphate, Nitrite, Nitrate, BOD, COD, Total coliform, Fecal coliform, TSS, TDS, Ammonia, Hardness, Fluoride, Sulfate, pH, Turbidity, Temperature, free Chlorine, Color, Electrical Conductivity, Noise, Environmental Vibration, SO2, NO2, CO, CO2, O3, PM10, PM2 .5, TSP/Dust and some other environmental parameters."With the presence of an accredited laboratory, business actors who are obliged to carry out environmental management and monitoring no longer need to leave the area to conduct sample testing," he said.This of course can reduce costs and time spent.Given that the mandate of PP No.22 of 2021 concerning the implementation and protection of the environment, there is an obligation for business actors to manage waste water and monitor the quality of waste water as well as structuring the waste water quality standards set for businesses or activities.KAN accreditation is a matter of pride as well as the beginning of the struggle to realize the best service, create competent human resources, develop existing potentials on an ongoing basis and continue to contribute to the Province of NTB.(ris)
